Named and Directed Grant Programs
Cornerstone Investors have the unique opportunity to stand at the intersection of our community and its educators providing the sound starting place from which generations will benefit. Even more, our
Cornerstone Investors raise the sights of our entire community as we unite people and companies with big hearts and a big belief in the teachers and children of Katy ISD to provide unprecedented opportunities for both.
BP joined the Katy ISD Education Foundation in 2013 as the first Cornerstone Investor when it pledged $50,000 to establish the
BP STEM Grant Program. Through it, BP empowers Katy ISD teachers to create instructional initiatives that effect the impact of science, technology, engineering and math instruction in K-12 classrooms. BP's three years of support for the Foundation has fueled fifty different classroom projects all over Katy ISD, reaching multiple campuses, subject areas and grade levels. The grant also includes continuation of BP's longstanding support of the FIRST Robotics Program at Cinco Ranch High School.
BP STEM grants are administered as part of our
Inspiring Imagination grant program. All grants, which must be applied for annually, are implemented for one school year.
